Sep 26  Depart Toronto for Tel Aviv.

Sep 27  Upon arrival, we collect our luggage, meet the guide. We visit Mt. Carmel the ”burning place” where Elijah called the fire down to confound the prophets of Baal. Celebrate mass in Muhraqa on Mt Carmel. If time permits, visit Caesarea Maritima, which was the center of early Christians, and capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of this ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. This is where Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Sep 28 This morning we start our tour with visiting Nazareth and the Basilica of Annunciation. We continue our tour with visiting Mary’s Well and St. Joseph‘s carpentry shop. On to Cana – the site of Jesus’ first miracle, where couples will be able to renew their marriage vows. In the afternoon we visit Mount Tabor – the Mount of Transfiguration. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Sep 29 After breakfast we will travel by boat on the Sea of Galilee, visit Capernaum, home of St. Peter and the site of Christ’s preaching, see the Church of Multiplication with its beautiful 5th century fish mosaic and the Church of St. Peter’s Primacy. Mt. Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered his famous Sermon on the Mount. Dinner and overnight in Jericho.

Sep 30 After breakfast we visit Bethlehem where Jesus was born. We visit the oldest church in the Holy Land, the Church of Nativity at Manger Square, built over Manger cave. We also see Crusader’s Cloister, the Grotto of St. Jerome. If time permits, stop at Milk Grotto church. In the afternoon, will continue to Shepherds Field. Dinner and overnight in Jericho.

Oct 01. Today we visit Qasr El Yahud the baptismal site later, continue to the Dead Sea – the lowest place on earth (423 meters below sea level). The area around the Dead Sea was one of the world’s first health resorts. The salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea are used to create cosmetics and sachets which are well known around the world. Time to enjoy the sun and “swim” in the Dead Sea. later continue to the Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in the afternoon continue to Jericho visit Sycamore Tree in Jericho and view Mt Temptation. On our return we stop at Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized. Dinner and overnight in Jericho.

Oct 02. We visit the Mount of Olives, starting by Pater Noster Church, Dominus Flevit Church where Jesus cried upon prophesying the destruction of the Temple, walk through the Garden of Gethsemane, pray at the Church of all Nations. In the afternoon visit Mt Zion home to King David’s tomb and the Upper Room Cenacle where the Last Supper is said to have taken place. We also visit the Dormition Abbey. Continue to visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the House of the High Priest Calaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned for a night. and stop at Western Wall, the holiest Jewish site in the world. Dinner and overnight in Jericho.

Oct 03 Today we visit the Old City starting by St Anne Church and Pool of Bethesda and the Via Dolorosa (Way of cross ). We walk the same pathway Jesus walked from Pilate’s Judgment Hall, where he was condemned to death in Calvary, the site of his crucifixion presently inside Holy Sepulchre Church. In the afternoon, visit Ein Karem, a serene, picturesque Jerusalem suburbs, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist and the Church of Visitation. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Oct 04 Today we start the day by visiting Bethany and then continue to Abu Ghosh to visit two places Church of St Mary of the Resurrection and Emmaus. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

Oct 05 In the morning we get transferred to Tel Aviv for our direct flight back to Toronto.

A non refundable deposit of $300.00 per person is required at time of booking. Insurance must be purchased at time of booking.

Balance due is payable 105 days prior to departure for late bookings /within 105 days/ full payment is due immediately.

If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
105 days before departure ……………………………………………….$300.00 per person
Between 105 and 60 days before departure …………………… 40% of the total cost
Between 60 and 45 days before departure ……………………. 60% of the total cost
45 days or less …………………………………………………………..100% of the total cost

A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 105 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.

QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. In case the standard of the accommodation is changed, QS Travel & Tours will offer the choice of a full and immediate refund or comparable alternate travel services acceptable to you.

No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.

Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.
