Itinerary

Apr 28 Day 1 Depart Toronto to Lisbon.

Apr 29 Day 2 Upon arrival in Lisbon, transfer to our hotel in Fatima. En route stop in Santarem, the site of Eucharistic Miracle in February 1247. Celebrate Mass at Church of St. Stephen. Dinner in Fatima, procession with candles and overnight.

Apr 30 Day 3 Full day in Fatima, famous for the apparitions of our Lady of the Rosary to three shepherd children: Lucia dos Santos and her two cousins. After morning Mass we are going to visit the Apparition Chapel, the Basilica that contains the tombs of St. Francisco, St. Jacinta and sister Lucia. Later we visit the village of Aljustrel and the houses where the children used to live. We stop in Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared on August 19, 1917. We also stop at the places where the Angel of Peace appeared to the little shepherds in 1916, to prepare them for the future apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Some free time in the afternoon for individual activities and prayers. After dinner, procession with candles and overnight.

May 1 Day 4 After breakfast, we transfer to Avila. Upon arrival, we visit the beautiful medieval wall, Las Murallas de Ávila, Avila Cathedral, as well as the Monastery of the Incarnation, founded in 1478 and known as one of the most important places in the life of Saint Teresa as it was in this Carmelite Convent where the Saint took her vows and lived for 27 years. Mass at church of St. Teresa. Dinner and overnight in Avila.

May 2 Day 5 After breakfast, we transfer to Madrid. The sightseeing tour in Madrid takes us to Plaza Espana, Puerta del Sol, Cibeles Fountain, Gran Via, Royal Palace. Visit Madrid Cathedral. Mass. Dinner and overnight in Valencia.

May 3 Day 6 After breakfast, we visit Saint Mary’s Cathedral, where we see the Holy Chalice Chapel hosting what is believed to be the Holy Grail, the chalice used during the Last Supper. Mass. Then transfer to monastery of Montserrat, famous for the “Black Madonna”. Mass in the monastery. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.

May 4 Day 7 After breakfast, we visit the Sagrada Familia Basilica, one of the most famous landmarks in Barcelona, designed by the architect Antoni Gaudi. Mass. Also, we visit the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, where we see the crucifix of the Holy Christ of Lepanto and Santa Eulalia’s Crypt. Dinner and overnight in Andorra.

May 5 Day 8 This morning, we visit Our Lady of Meritxell church in Andorra, which is the patron saint of Andorra. Then, guided tour to Andorra la Vella, the capital city of Andorra and the largest city, view Sant Esteve church, built in 11th century. In the afternoon, we transfer to Lourdes. Dinner and procession with candles and overnight in Lourdes.

May 6 Day 9 After breakfast, we visit the Grotto of Massabielle, the two Basilicas and participate in the Way of the Cross. Time for baths and visit to the “Cachot” where Bernadette lived with her family in great poverty at the time of apparitions. After dinner procession with candles and overnight in Lourdes.

May 7 Day 10 After breakfast, travel to Toulouse for a visit to the Romanesque Basilica of St. Sernin and the Church of Les Jacobins, where we will visit the tomb of St. Thomas Aquinas, a Doctor of the Church. Mass. Dinner and overnight in Clermont-Ferrand area.

May 8 Day 11 After breakfast, we transfer to Paray-le-Monia for a visit to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Then we transfer to Nevers, view the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette at the Convent of St. Gildard, miraculously preserved since her death in 1879. Mass. Dinner and overnight in Orléans area.

May 9 Day 12 After breakfast, we transfer to Lisieux. We visit the site of St. therese’s family home, Les Buissonets, the Carmelite Convent Chapel where St. Therese and her parents are entombed. Mass at the Basilica of St. Therese. After lunch, we visit the Lisieux Cathedral. Continue to Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, a panoramic tour of Paris including famous landmarks: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees and Notre Dame Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

May 10 Day 13 Full day in Paris. We start with the visit to Miraculous Medal Church, where Our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830 and gave her instructions to have the Miraculous Medal made. Celebrate Mass in the Chapel, and venerate the incorrupt body of St. Catherine, as well as the heart of St. Vincent de Paul. From there you will visit the nearby chapel of the Vincentian Fathers to view the incorrupt body of St. Vincent de Paul, the saint who inspired thousands of charities and volunteers. After lunch visit to Sacre Coeur Church and some free time in Montmartre, the charming village famous for many artist that lived there in XIX century. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

May 11 Day 14 After breakfast, transfer to airport for our flight home.

A non refundable deposit of $300.00 per person is required at time of booking. Insurance must be purchased at time of booking.

Balance due is payable 105 days prior to departure
For late bookings /within 105 days/ full payment is due immediately.

CANCELLATION:
If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
105 days before departure ………………………………………….$300.00 per person
Between 105 and 60 days before departure …………………… 40% of the total cost
Between 60 and 45 days before departure ……………………. 60% of the total cost
45 days or less ………………………………………… 100% of the total cost

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 90 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.

IF QS TRAVEL & TOURS CHANGES YOUR BOOKING:
QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. In case the standard of the accommodation is changed, QS Travel & Tours will offer the choice of a full and immediate refund or comparable alternate travel services acceptable to you.

UNUSED SERVICES:
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

GOOD VALUE AND EXPECTATIONS:
The Ministry of Consumer Relations requires that Ontarians traveling abroad be advised that they may encounter different living standards and practices than those at home.

FLIGHT CONNECTIONS:
In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION:
A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
One piece of luggage of 23kg per person plus a carry-on-bag /weighting not more than 5 kg/

Prices in this brochure are given in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices are correct at the time of going to press. In the event of any change beyond QS Travel & Tours control, including but not limited to increase in the price of fuel, currency fluctuations affecting our costs, or increases in government taxes or levies. QS Travel & Tours reserves the right to surcharge the passenger/s up to 7% of a tour cost.

Each of these organizations has its own specific terms and conditions for doing business and you will be bound by them. QS Travel & Tours accepts no responsibility for /A/ the acts or omissions of any party/ies/ other than QS Travel & Tours employees./B/failure by the passenger to be properly documented; /C/ failure by the passenger to comply with departure or joining or baggage requirements;/D/ aircraft delays, government actions, priests change their commitments as spiritual directors, etc, act/s/ of God or any factor beyond our direct control; /E/ cancellation or delay to any tour or holiday or change to the itinerary; /F/ expenses resulting from lost or damaged baggage.
