Some time for shopping at the local souk (market). Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Nov 24 After breakfast we continue to Granada along Costa de Sol. There are songs about this city, where you can see Moorish influence everywhere. Afternoon visit to Alhambra Palace. This mighty yet graceful citadel, a fantasy of “lace in stone”, surrounded by arabesque gardens and fountains was planned by the 13th century Moorish ruler Al Ahmar. Alhambra Palace became a Christian court in 1492 when the Catholic monarchs Ferdinand and Isabel conquered the city of Granada. The Alhambra became an UNESCO Heritage site in 1984. Mass, dinner and overnight in Granada.
Day 9 Nov 25 Today our journey brings us to Cordoba. In the 11th century it was one of the most important cities in Europe, where people of different cultures and religions: Jews, Muslims and Christians were living peacefully together. We visit the Cathedral and former Great Mosque of Córdoba, the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption), known by the inhabitants of Córdoba as the Mezquita-Catedral (Mosque–Cathedral), today a World Heritage site. Some free time in the afternoon for individual activities and prayers. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

According to the Legend of Nazaré the town derives its name from a small wooden statue of the Virgin Mary, a Black Madonna brought by a monk in the 4th century from Nazareth. On the way back to Fatima we stop in medieval walled town of Obidos.
