Itinerary

May 11 Sunday Depart Toronto for Vienna.

May 12 Monday Morning arrive in Vienna, then Celebrate Mass at St. Stephen’s Cathedral (to be confirmed). Drive around the Ringtrasse and see Hofburg Palace, the Capuchin Church, St. Charles Church, Belvedere Palace, the Vienna Opera, museums, the House of Parliament, City Hall, and the Burg heater, continue to Olomouc for dinner and overnight.

May 13 Tuesday Morning, visiting Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi Concentration camp. We will see the cell that imprisoned St Maximilian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. transfer to Lagiewniki, world known as “divine Mercy Shrine”. It is here that the message of Divine Mercy originated, which Christ himself wished to pass on to our Generation, through meditation of Sister Faustyna. Here we celebrate mass and visit the convent of St. Faustyna, her tomb and relics. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

May 14 Wednesday Morning, we explore Krakow, the ancient capital of Poland. We visit the Market Place, St. Mary’s Church, where you may pray before the extraordinary Wit Stwosz altar. The surroundings of the square have remained unchanged for almost 700 years and contain buildings of historic value such as the Town Hall Tower, the Cloth Hall and the Wawel Castle. Afternoon, visit to the famous Salt Mines of Wieliczka, a splendid 3-mile-long underground complex of chambers, chapels and statues sculpted from salt. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

May 15 Thursday After breakfast, travel to Czestochowa, visit the Shrine of “Our Lady of Czestochowa” also known as the “Black Madonna”. It is one of the most important places of religious worship in Christian world with tradition of pilgrimages that goes back to the 14-th century. We celebrate mass and venerate the priceless treasures contained within the shrine, including the Miraculous Icon. Dinner and overnight Warsaw.

May 16 Friday Morning, tour the city of Warsaw. Sightseeing tour of Warsaw includes the Old Town, the Barbican and medieval defense walls. Then we continue along the Royal Route, important for its place in the Polish history and visit the Lazienki Park with its impressive sculpture of Chopin. Afternoon, transfer to the airport in Warsaw for our flight to Malta. Dinner and overnight in Malta.

May 17 Saturday Today, visit the Church of the Shipwreck, learn about the life of St Paul. Also, visit Sanctuary of Our Lady of Melliehathe, the sanctuary on the Island of Malta. Then, excursion to Gozo Island, visit Ta’ Pinu Shrine, the church is a famous site for pilgrims as there are records of hundreds of miracles in its annexed museum. Dinner and overnight in Malta.

May 18 Sunday After breakfast, visit St Paul’s Grotto, situated under the Church of St Paul in Rabat, St Paul took refuge here for 3 months. Also, we visit the most prominent building in Mosta, the Rotunda, a large basilica built by its parishioners’ volunteer labour. It features the world’s 3rd largest unsupported dome, and displays a replica of a German bombshell that famously crashed through the dome but did not detonate upon impact. Then, visit Valletta, the old, historic town in Malta, the capital city of Malta where St John’s Cathedral is found with an original painting of Caravaggio of the Beheading of St John. Dinner and overnight in Malta.

May 19 Monday Morning, fly to Bari. Upon arrival, travel to Gargano, visit Sanctuary of Monte Sant’Angelo. Continue to San Giovanni Rotondo visit the Basilica, Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church, the tomb of Padre Pio and his relics. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo

May 20 Tuesday Today, we travel to the Vatican. Upon arrival, visit St. Peter’s Basilica. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

May 21 Wednesday Morning, audience with Pope Francis, then travel North. En route, stop in Bologna for lunch and mass. Dinner and overnight in Parma area.

May 22 Thursday After breakfast, transfer to Turin, we visit the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, where one of Christianity’s holiest artifacts, the Shroud of Turin, is kept. It is said to be the cloth that wrapped the body of Christ after the crucifixion. After lunch, travel to Montichiari, Italy to visit, Sanctuary of Mary, Mystical Rose – Mother of Church. Dinner and overnight in Brescia area.

May 23 Friday Early in the morning, transfer to the airport in Venice for our return flight to Toronto.

HOW TO BOOK:
A non-refundable deposit of CA$500.00 per person is required at time of booking. Insurance with premium(if desired) must be purchased at the time of booking.

BALANCE OF PAYMENT
Balance due is payable 105 days prior to departure For late bookings /within 105 days/ full payment is due immediately.

CANCELLATION:
If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
105 days before departure …………………………………………. CA$500.00 per person
Between 105 and 61 days before departure …………………… 50% of the total cost
Between 60 and 46 days before departure ……………………. 70% of the total cost
45 days or less …………………………………………………………… 100% of the total cost

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 90 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.

IF QS TRAVEL & TOURS CHANGES YOUR BOOKING:
QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. In case the standard of the accommodation is changed, QS Travel & Tours will offer the choice of a full and immediate refund or comparable alternate travel services acceptable to you.

UNUSED SERVICES:
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

GOOD VALUE AND EXPECTATIONS:
The Ministry of Consumer Relations requires that Ontarians traveling abroad be advised that they may encounter different living standards and practices than those at home.

FLIGHT CONNECTIONS:
In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION:
A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
One piece of luggage of 23kg per person plus a carry-on-bag /weighting not more than 5 kg/

All flight times are subject to change with or without prior notice to the passengers or his/her agent. QS Travel & Tours does not accept liability for missed connection or any expenses resulting from an off-schedule, rescheduled or late flight operations.

PRICES
Prices in this brochure are given in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices are correct at the time of going to press. In the event of any change beyond QS Travel & Tours control, including but not limited to increase in the price of fuel, currency fluctuations affecting our costs, or increases in government taxes or levies. QS Travel & Tours reserves the right to surcharge the passenger/s up to 7% of a tour cost.

Each of these organizations has its own specific terms and conditions for doing business and you will be bound by them. QS Travel & Tours accepts no responsibility for /A/ the acts or omissions of any party/ies/ other than QS Travel & Tours employees./B/failure by the passenger to be properly documented; /C/ failure by the passenger to comply with departure or joining or baggage requirements;/D/ aircraft delays, government actions, priests change their commitments as spiritual directors, etc, act/s/ of God or any factor beyond our direct control; /E/ cancellation or delay to any tour or holiday or change to the itinerary; /F/ expenses resulting from lost or damaged baggage.
