Aug 14 Depart Toronto to Budapest by direct flight.
Aug 15 After arrival in Budapest, often compared with Paris, this glamorous city has something to offer every visitor. We will tour the older section of the city in the afternoon. After celebrating Mass at the 13th-century Cathedral of St. Matthew, we will see the Citadel on Mount Gellert. Late afternoon, enjoy free time to explore Budapest or rest. Dinner and overnight.
Aug 16 After breakfast, we visit the Royal Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, the Parliament, Heroes’ Square, and the Church of St. Stephen. We continue onto to Vienna, Austria’s capital before dinner and a restful overnight.
Aug 17 After breakfast we will enjoy a sightseeing of Vienna, home of Strauss and Mozart and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We see the spectacular St. Stephen’s cathedral, where we celebrate Mass. At St. Stephen’s, we’ll see the miraculous image of Our Lady of Mariapocs, tour the Cathedral and its catacombs. Visit of the Schonbrunn Royal palace and summer house with 1,441 rooms including a Hall of Mirrors where Mozart performed at the age of six before a young Marie Antoinette. View of the Belvedere palace well known by its beautiful gardens. Back in the city center, we go to Karlsplatz with its Church of St. Charles Borromeo and Otto Wagner’s Stadtbahn pavilions. Somewhere along the way we will have a little coffee break to enjoy the famous Vienna pastries such as Sacher cake. Dinner and overnight in Vienna.
Aug 18 Today we depart to Melk Abbey. The Baroque style structure is surrounded by a gorgeous town with Renaissance homes and winding streets reminiscent of the Middle Ages. The Abbey is the setting for Umberto Eco’s ‘The Name of the Rose’. Among the treasures housed here are paintings, sculptures, and decorative art from the 9th to 15th centuries. A magnificent library contains over 2,000 volumes from that era. A brilliant organ and skeletons dressed in luxurious costumes kept in glass coffins are among the other things to see here. Here we celebrate Mass. Return to Vienna for dinner and overnight.
Aug 19 After breakfast, we motor east through Austria to Mariazell, the most important pilgrimage place in Austria. We will stop and see the miraculous statue, which is housed in the Lady Chapel or Chapel of Miracles, built directly over the place where Magnus established his monastic cell in 1157. We continue onto to Vienna, Austria’s capital. Continue to Salzburg, the lovely birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg the city of great houses, mansions, Festival Hall, and the Mirabelle Gardens. Hear the bells of the great Glockenspiel Tower, performed to a melody of Mozart’s. Dinner and overnight.
Aug 20 After breakfast, our full day tour begins with Mass at St. Peter’s Churchyard. Salzburg is compact and best explored on foot. Narrow, winding lanes and secluded passageways are evidence of its medieval roots. The heritage of the Catholic Church is evident in the Archbishop’s Residence and the decoration of the State Rooms, available for viewing. Visit the mighty Romanesque Cathedral, the Nonnberg Convent of Benedictine nuns, and the Fortress Hohensalzburg. We stop at Hellbrunn Palace to enjoy its gardens and hidden trick fountains. Dinner and overnight.
Aug 21 Leave Salzburg for Altotting, one of Germany’s most celebrated shrines and a city whose purpose is pilgrimage. Upon arrival we’ll celebrate Mass at the center of the pilgrimage complex, the Chapel of Mercy. The chapel houses a 13th century statue of the Blessed Virgin to which numerous miraculous cures are credited. While there, we have the opportunity to visit the Basilica, the Panorama of the Crucifixion and St. Konrad’s Monastery. We continue onto to Prague, Capital of the Czech Republic. Dinner and overnight in Prague.
Aug 22 Full day in Prague. We start our tour with the Castle District where we tour built in 14th century gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Basilica and Golden Way, picturesque street lined with tiny, colourful houses. These houses were built into the castle’s fortifications around the end of the 16th century. Mass in one of Prague’s churches. We also stop at Wenceslas Square, city’s main square, witness of many historical events. Dinner and overnight in Prague.
Aug 23 We celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Victory and see the renowned statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. After mass we continue our tour to Lesser Town – we see St. Nicholas Church and we cross the medieval Charles Bridge. We See landmarks of Prague’s Old Town – the elegant tower of the Town Hall with the world famous astronomical clock and the Church of Our Lady before Týn, Some free time in the afternoon for shopping. Continue to Brno. Dinner and overnight.
Aug 24 In the morning we leave Brno and visit the Velehrad Monastery, Czech Republic. It can be said to be the spiritual heart of the Czech Republic, which had its Christian roots in the arrival of Saints Cyril and Methodius in 863 A.D. Pope John Paul II visited the monastery in 1990, his first visit outside the country. Continue to Cracow. En route we stop in small town of Wadowice – the birth place of St. Pope John Paul II. We can see the house where he was born on May 18, 1920 and the church where he was baptized, served as an altar boy and prayed daily before miraculous picture of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Mass. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.
Aug 25 Today we start our day with a visit to the famous Salt Mines of Wieliczka, a splendid 3-mile long underground complex of chambers, chapels and statues sculpted from salt. In the afternoon we explore Cracow, the ancient capital of Poland. We visit the Market Place, St. Mary’s Church, where you may pray before the extraordinary Wit Stwosz altar. The surroundings of the square have remained unchanged for almost 700 years and contain buildings of historic value such as the Town Hall Tower, the Cloth Hall and the Wawel Castle. Mass.Dinner and overnight in Cracow.
Aug 26 In the morning we visit Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi Concentration camp. We will see the cell that imprisoned St Maximilian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust and martyrdom of St. Edith Stein. In the afternoon we visit Lagiewniki – world known as “divine Mercy Shrine”. It is here that the message of Divine Mercy originated, which Christ himself wished to pass on to our Generation, through meditation of Sister Faustyna. Here we celebrate mass and visit the convent of St. Faustyna, her tomb and relics. Return to Cracow for dinner and overnight.
Aug 27 Today we leave for Warsaw. En route we visit Shrine of “The Black Madonna” in Czestochowa, most venerated shrine in Poland. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
Aug 28 Full Day in Warsaw. Your day will begin with breakfast followed by Mass. Following this prayerful morning, your day of sightseeing begins. Your group will explore the Old Town. You will also take in the Lazienski Park, a beautifully landscaped park, the Chopin Statue, and the Royal Castle. In the afternoon, visit the Stanislaw Kostka Church and view a special exhibit dedicated to Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko. Your tour of Warsaw will conclude by returning to the hotel for a delicious meal, followed by an overnight at your hotel.
Aug 29 This morning we are transferred to the airport for our direct flight back to Toronto.

A non refundable deposit of $300.00 per person is required at time of booking. Insurance must be purchased at time of booking.

Balance due is payable 60 days prior to departure For late bookings /within 60 days/ full payment is due immediately.
If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:

Between 60 and 45 days before departure ………. 50% of the total cost
45 days or less ………………………………………….. 100% of the total cost
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 60 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.
IF QS TRAVEL & TOURS CHANGES YOUR BOOKING:
QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. We reserve the right to substitute any of the hotel with hotels in similar or better category. First class twin-bedded rooms with private facilities are used.
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

QS Travel & Tours sells holidays from and returning to Toronto only. In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.
A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.
