Sep 14 Departure Toronto by direct flight to Rome.

Sep 15 Upon arrival we enjoy panoramic tour of the city including Forum Romanum and Colosseum. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Sep 16 After breakfast transfer to Vatican for audience with Pope Francis. Afternoon, we visit St. Paul outside the Walls. Mass. Dinner & overnight in Rome.

Sep 17 In the morning, we visit St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, St. Thomas Finger and True piece of the cross/nails. Also, we have a guided tour of Vatican Museum, continue with a visit to St Peter’ Basilica. Some free time by famous Trevi fountain. Late afternoon, transfer to Assisi for dinner & overnight.

Sep 18 After breakfast, we visit Assisi, the city of St. Francis, patron saint of Italy. The town of Assisi with its winding medieval streets and sacred shrines has been one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations. We visit the Lower Basilica housing the tomb of St Francis and the Upper Basilica with famous Giotto frescoes, illustrating scenes from St Francis life. We also visit Santa Maria Degli Angeli Basilica. Inside the Basilica we can see the Porziuncola, original stone chapel restored and frequently used by St. Francis and Chapel of Transition, small room in which St Francis died on October 3, 1226, St. Claire at the top of the hill. Afternoon, transfer to Florence. Dinner & overnight in Florence.

Sep 19 After breakfast, our guided tour of Florence take us to the church of Santa Croce, a visit to the basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza Signora and Ponte Veccio. Afternoon, transfer to Milan. Dinner & overnight in Milan.

Sep 20 After breakfast, panoramic tour of Milan. It takes us to the Duomo, one of the biggest and grandest Gothic cathedrals in the world, Dominican convent Santa Maria delle Grazie La Scala Opera House and Basilica Saint Ambrogio one of the oldest churches in Milan. Late afternoon, transfer to Einsiedeln for dinner and overnight.

Sep 21 Morning, tour the city of Einsiedeln, visit the Shrine of Einsiedeln, a Benedictine Monastery, established in the 10th century and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Afternoon, excursion to Lucerne, picturesque getaway sited on Lake Lucerne embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. Mass. Dinner and overnight in Einsiedeln.

Sep 22 After breakfast, travel to Strasbourg. Upon arrival, tour of Strasbourg, it is famous for its beautiful historical centre – the Grande Île – which was the first city centre to be classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Continue to Riems for dinner and overnight.

Sep 23 In the morning, we travel to Paris. Upon arrival, we start our tour of the city with the visit to Miraculous Medal Church where Our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830 and gave her instructions to have the Miraculous Medal made. Celebrate Mass in the Chapel, and venerate the incorrupt body of St. Catherine, as well as the heart of St. Vincent de Paul. From there you will visit the nearby chapel of the Vincentian Fathers to view the incorrupt body of St. Vincent de Paul, the saint who inspired thousands of charities and volunteers. After the visit, panoramic tour of the city including famous landmarks on our couch bus: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees and Notre Dame Cathedral. After lunch visit to Sacre Coeur Church and some free time in Montmartre, charming village famous for many artist that lived there in XIX century. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Sep 24 Morning, depart for Luxembourg city, the capital city of The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, one of the smallest countries in Europe. We see the Old Town, Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Grand Duke’s Palace. Mass. Dinner and overnight in Luxembourg.

Sep 25 In the morning, we travel to Aachen. En route, stop in Banneaux, the most popular pilgrimage destination in Belgium. Virgin Mary appeared here eight times in 1933 to 11 years old Mariette Beco. We visit the Shrine of Virgin of Poor, Mass. Continue to Aachen, we visit Aachen Cathedral, the oldest Cathedral in Europe. Also, it is the location of the tomb of Charles the Great (Charlemagne). Moreover, the Chapel of Saint Mary contains several relics. It was the first German building, which was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Dinner and overnight in Aachen.

Sep 26 After breakfast, we travel to Cologne, enriched by some of Europe’s most striking churches, numerous museums, and one of the oldest universities in the world, Cologne is the Rhineland’s cultural heart. We will visit Cologne Cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge, Roman Tower and Walls. Late afternoon, continue to Amsterdam for dinner and overnight.

Sep 27 Amsterdam, capital of Holland, is known as Venice of the North, because of its lovely canals that criss-cross the city, its impressive architecture and more than 1,500 bridges. Morning, an informative guide leads your group around Amsterdam’s historical center and past top attractions including Dam Square, the Royal Palace, the Anne Frank House, the Rembrandt House Museum. Some free time for shopping. Bijenkorf at Dam Square is a must-visit for avid shoppers. And even reluctant goers will appreciate a quick visit. Non-shoppers can hang out in the store’s coffee shop, too. Afternoon tour takes us to National Monument and Basilica of St Nicholas. Mass in one of Amsterdam’s churches. Cruise on Amsterdam’s canals. Overnight in Amsterdam.

Sep 28 Transfer to airport for our direct flight to Toronto.

If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
60 days before departure ……………………………….$300.00 per person
Between 60 and 45 days before departure ………. 50% of the total cost
45 days or less ……………………………………………. 100% of the total cost

A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 60 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.

QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. In case the standard of the accommodation is changed, QS Travel & Tours will offer the choice of a full and immediate refund or comparable alternate travel services acceptable to you.

No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

The Ministry of Consumer Relations requires that Ontarians traveling abroad be advised that they may encounter different living standards and practices than those at home.

QS Travel & Tours sells holidays from and returning to Toronto only. In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.

A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.

QS Travel & Tours accepts no responsibility for /A/ the acts or omissions of any party/ies/ other than QS Travel & Tours employees./B/failure by the passenger to be properly documented; /C/ failure by the passenger to comply with departure or joining or baggage requirements;/D/ aircraft delays, government actions, priests change their commitments as spiritual directors, etc, act/s/ of God or any factor beyond our direct control; /E/ cancellation or delay to any tour or holiday or change to the itinerary; /F/ expenses resulting from lost or damaged baggage.
