Sep 26 Depart Toronto to Rome.
Sep 27 After arrive in Rome, city tour of Rome including Colosseum (picture taking from outside only, no entrance), Spanish Steps. Tour of Trevi Fountian, where we toss the three coins. Visit the three major basilicas – St Paul Outside the Walls and St. Mary Major, St John in Lateran Basilica, the oldest of the four major basilicas of Rome, home to the relics of Peter and Paul. Crossing the street we come to the Holy Staircase which is believed to be brought to Rome by St. Helen in the 4th Century (photo stop only). Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Sep 28 Morning, transfer to Vatican, hopefully, the group will have a chance to audience with Pope Francis. Afternoon, visit the Vatican Museum, continue with St. Peter‘s Basilica and pray noon Angelus with the Holy Father on St. Peter’s Square. Also, if time permits, we will visit the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome: See relics of St. Thomas Finger and True piece of the cross/nails. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Sep 29 After breakfast, travel to Assisi. Upon arrival, tour the city of St. Francis, saint patron of Italy. The town of Assisi with its winding medieval streets and sacred shrines has been one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations. We visit the Lower Basilica housing the tomb of St Francis and the Upper Basilica with famous Giotto frescoes. Mass at Santa Maria Degli Angeli Basilica. Inside the Basilica we can see the Porzuincola, original stone chapel restored and frequently used by St. Francis and Chapel of Transition, small room in which St Francis died on October 3, 1226. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.
Sep 30 After breakfast, travel through the Italian Riviera to Florence– cradle of the Renaissance and capital of Tuscany. Upon arrival we start our sightseeing tour of Florence. We see Santa Croce Basilica and famous Ponte Vecchio. Dinner & overnight in Florence.
Oct 01 After breakfast, continue to Florence we see magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, continue to Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery’s heavy bronze door “Gate of Paradise” and sculpture-studded Signoria Square with the statue of David by Michelangelo. Continue to Milan for dinner and overnight.
Oct 02 After breakfast, panoramic tour of Milan takes us to Dominican convent Santa Maria delle Grazie La Scala Opera House and Basilica Saint Ambrogio, one of the oldest churches in Milan. We will also visit the Duomo, one of the biggest and grandest Gothic cathedrals in the world. Continue to Aix-en-Provence passing by the breaktaking coastline of Ligurian sea. Dinner and overnight in Aix-en-Provence
Oct 03 This morning, we travel to Avignon – the city of Popes. In 14th century seven consecutive Popes took residence in Avignon. We visit the ancient walled city and see the Notre Dame Des Doms Cathedral, the Popes Palace and world famous Avignon bridge – Pont St.Benezet. Continue to Lourdes for dinner and overnight.
Oct 04 In Lourdes we have the tour to visit the Grotto of Massabielle, two Basilicas. We will have Mass and The Way of The Cross, time for individual prayer. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
Oct 05 After breakfast, we travel to Loyola. Upon arrival, visit the birthplace of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuit Order. Dinner and overnight.
Oct 06 After breakfast, travel to Leon, home to many churches and cathedrals noted for their architecture and art. Among them is the Gothic 13th-century Catedral de Léon, with its towers and flying buttresses. Dinner and overnight in Leon area.
Oct 07 After breakfast, we travel to Santiago de Compostela, where the remains of Saint James are buried, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ, mass at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, walking tour of the city. Dinner and overnight in Santiago de Compostela area.
Oct 08 Morning, travel to Braga, Portugal, visit Bom Jesus do Monte. Continue to Porto, a historic and varied city, from the warren of narrow streets that make up the ancient Ribeira district through to the grand plaza of the Trindade district. The region is famed for the production of Port, which is still stored and matured in the vast cellars that stretch along the banks of the Douro River. Guided tour the city of Porto takes us to Porto cathedral, Porto bridge, etc. Dinner and overnight in Porto.
Oct 09 After morning Mass, we travel to Fatima. En route we stop and visit the town of Coimbra, where Sister Lucia spent her most part of her life. Lucia is one of the three children of Fatima that witnessed the apparitions of Our Lady. Here we visit the Carmelite Convent where Sister Lucia died and its Museum. We continue to Fatima area for dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Oct 10 Full day in Fatima famous for the apparitions of our Lady of the Rosary that appeared to the three Fatima shepherd children: Lucia dos Santos and her two cousins. We are going to visit the Apparition Chapel, the Basilica that contains the tombs of two younger children and the houses where Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia used to live. Mass. Dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Oct 11 Early morning we are transferred to the airport in Lisbon for our flight back to Toronto.

A non refundable deposit of $300.00 per person is required at time of booking. Insurance must be purchased at time of booking.

Balance due is payable 105 days prior to departure
For late bookings /within 105 days/ full payment is due immediately.
If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
105 days before departure ………………………………………………..$300.00 per person
Between 105 and 60 days before departure …………………… 40% of the total cost
Between 60 and 45 days before departure ……..………………. 60% of the total cost
45 days or less ……………………………………………………………….. 100% of the total cost
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 90 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.
IF QS TRAVEL & TOURS CHANGES YOUR BOOKING:
QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. In case the standard of the accommodation is changed, QS Travel & Tours will offer the choice of a full and immediate refund or comparable alternate travel services acceptable to you.
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.
A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.
