Itinerary

 

Day 01 Departure from Toronto to Venice, Italy by direct flight.

Day 02 Morning arrive in Venice. We relish the sights and sounds of this serene city including canal cruise by motor launch to St. Mark’s Square. We view the bridge of Sighs and Doge’s Palace. Mass. Dinner and overnight.

Day 03 After breakfast, transfer to Padua, Italy, one of the oldest cities in Italy with the renowned University of Padua, almost 800 years old and famous, among other things, for having had Galileo Galilei among its lecturers.The highlight of the day is a visit of the Basilica of Saint Anthony. Built immediately after the death of the Franciscan monk in 1231, Basilica has been one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations for people from all over the world. After lunch, we travel to Rijeka, Croatia. Dinner and overnight.

Day 04 After breakfast, city tour of Rijeka, Croatia inludes visit to St. Vitus Cathedral and Our Lady of Trsat Church. Afternoon, transfer to Zadar for dinner and overnight.

Day 05 After breakfast, city tour of Zadar, Croatia, a city on Croatia’s Dalmation coast, is known for the Roman and Venetian ruins of its peninsular Old Town. There are several Venetian gates in the city walls. After lunch, some free time in Split, Croatia. Dinner and overnight in Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Day 06 After breakfast we travel to Dubrovnik for tour of the city. Dubrovnik is an old city on the Adriatic Sea coast. It has been nicknamed “Pearl of the Adriatic” and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. Stroll around the narrow streets of the old town of Dubrovnik and experience the history and culture of this magnificent walled city. We see Onofrio’s Fountain, the Franciscan Monastery, the City Bell Tower, the Church of St Blaise, the city’s patron saint. Continue across the main square, where you will visit Dubrovnik’s baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, built in the 18th century after an earthquake destroyed the original one. Mass. Return to Medjugorje for dinner and overnight.

Day 07  After breakfast we celebrate Holy Mass and then take the walk to the Hill of Apparitions where the visionaries first saw Our Blessed Virgin Mary. Pray before the statue that symbolizes the place of the First Apparition. A steep path leads to the top of the mountain, along which bronze reliefs were placed representing the joyful and the sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary. We also, visit and pray at “Blue Cross”, a place of healings and graces at the foot of Apparition Hill. Late afternoon, transfer to Banja Luka/Zadar Dinner and overnight.

Day 08 Today, we travel to Zagreb. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the city, walking tour through the narrow streets of Upper Town, passing the Cathedral, Dolac open air market, Stone Gate, St. Mark’s church with its picturesque roof, Parliament and Government buildings, Lotrscak Tower and many more. Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.

Day 09  After breakfast, tansfer to the Shrine of the Mother of God of Bistrica for mass. It is in the town of Marija Bistrica in the region of Zagorje, Mass. Continue to Budapest. Unpon arrival, sightseeing in Budapest: The Heroes’ Square, the Vajdahunyad castle, the Pescadores tower, St. Matthew’s Church, The City Opera with the panorama view of the city. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.

Day 10 Morning: Holy Mass at St. Stephen’s Cathedral where relics of Hungary’s saint kings’ rest. Visit to the Island of St. Margaret with the Chapel of the Virgin of Consolation. Afternoon: Bus trip down the river Danube to Esztergom – the residence of the Head of the Church in Hungary, with stops in Visegrad – an ancient seat of Hungarian kings, and in Szentendre – a picturesque place on the bank of the river Danube.

Day 11  In the morning leave for Kosice. Upon arrival, tour of the city. Mass, dinner and overnight in Kosice.

Day 12 After breakfast, travel to Cracow. Upon arrival, we visit the famous Salt Mines of Wieliczka, a splendid 3-mile long underground complex of chambers, chapels and statues sculpted from salt. In the afternoon we explore Cracow, the ancient capital of Poland. We visit the Market Place, St Mary’s Church, where you may pray before the extraordinary Wit Stwosz altar. The surroundings of the square have remained unchanged for almost 700 years and contain buildings of historic value such as the Town Hall Tower, the Cloth Hall and the Wawel Castle. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 13 In the morning, we visit Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi Concentration camp. We will see the cell that imprisoned St Maximilian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. In the afternoon we visit Lagiewniki – world known as “divine Mercy Shrine”. It is here that the message of Divine Mercy originated, which Christ himself wished to pass on to our Generation, through meditation of Sister Faustyna. Here we celebrate mass and visit the convent of St. Faustyna, her tomb and relics. Return to Cracow for dinner and overnight.

Day 14 Today we leave for Warsaw. En route we visit Shrine of “The Black Madonna” in Czestochowa, most venerated shrine in Poland. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 15 After breakfast, sightseeing of Warsaw includes: the Old Town, the Barbican, Palace of Culture and Science. Some free time for shopping in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 16 Return from Warsaw to Toronto by direct flight.

TOUR COST CA$4,390 INCLUDES:

  • air transportation-hotel accommodation first class or superior tourist class based on double occupancy
  • 2 meals daily breakfast and dinner.
  • all sightseeing as per itinerary with English speaking guide – all tips in restaurants and hotels.

HOW TO BOOK:
A non refundable deposit of $300.00 per person is required at time of booking. Insurance must be purchased at time of booking.

BALANCE OF PAYMENT
Balance due is payable 60 days prior to departure For late bookings /within 60 days/ full payment is due immediately.

CANCELLATION:
If cancellation is necessary, please advise QS Travel & Tours immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
60 days before departure ……………………………….$300.00 per person
Between 60 and 45 days before departure ………. 50% of the total cost
45 days or less ………………………………………….. 100% of the total cost

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
A $25 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 60 days to departure period. Please note name changes are not allowed and such will be treated as cancellations.

IF QS TRAVEL & TOURS CHANGES YOUR BOOKING:
QS Travel & Tours will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. We reserve the right to substitute any of the hotel with hotels in similar or better category. First class twin-bedded rooms with private facilities are used.

UNUSED SERVICES:
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.

GOOD VALUE AND EXPECTATIONS:
The Ministry of Consumer Relations requires that Ontarians traveling abroad be advised that they may encounter different living standards and practices than those at home.

FLIGHT CONNECTIONS:
QS Travel & Tours sells holidays from and returning to Toronto only. In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase and which cannot be changed without penalty.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION:
A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact QS Travel & Tours to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
One piece of luggage of 23kg per person plus a carry-on-bag /weighting not more than 5 kg/

All flight times are subject to change with or without prior notice to the passengers or his/her agent. QS Travel & Tours does not accept liability for missed connection or any expenses resulting from an offschedule, rescheduled or late flight operations.

PRICES
Prices in this brochure are given in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices are correct at the time of going to press. In the event of any change beyond QS Travel & Tours control, including but not limited to increase in the price of fuel, currency fluctuations affecting our costs, or increases in government taxes or levies. QS Travel & Tours reserves the right to surcharge the passenger/s up to 7% of a tour cost

QS Travel & Tours Inc. is a tour operator and has made the advertised holiday arrangements with the airline/s/, hotel/s/, cruiseship/s/, other operator/s/ and other. Each of these organizations has its own specific terms and conditions for doing business and you will be bound by them. QS Travel & Tours accepts no responsibility for /A/ the acts or omissions of any party/ies/ other than QS Travel & Tours employees./B/failure by the passenger to be properly documented; /C/ failure by the passenger to comply with departure or joining or baggage requirements; /D/ aircraft delays, government actions, act/s/ of God or any factor beyond our direct control; /E/ cancellation or delay to any tour or holiday or change to the itinerary; /F/ expenses resulting from lost or damaged baggage. QS Travel & Tours reserves the right to refuse any person as a member of these tours at its sole discretion. QS Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel any or all departure/s/ with or without prior notice and QS Travel & Tours sole responsibility shall be to refund all monies paid for such cancelled departures.
