Day 2 Jun 4 Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Jun 5 After breakfast departure to the beautiful scenic village of Oberammergau, where we devote our afternoon and evening attending the famous Passion Play. In 1634 the Black Death decimated Europe’s population. Oberammergau remained untouched until a homesick villager returned one night, unknowingly bringing with him the dreaded plague. Almost 100 villagers died as a result. Frightened survivors vowed that if god saved them from the plague, once every 10 years they would re-enact the agony and crucifixion of Christ. From then on there were no further deaths from plague. The villagers fulfilled their pledge ever since. The play portrays the Passion of Christ – from the entry into Jerusalem to the Resurrection. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Jun 6 Today we travel to Innsbruck, Austria. We will visit the Baroque cathedral of St Jakob and the Hofkirche, a grand 16th-century church housing the cenotaph of Emperor Maximilian, surrounded by a remarkable collection of bronze Renaissance sculptures. Our tour includes entry to the spectacular imperial palace, known to locals as the Hofburg. One of Austria’s three major historic buildings, it has undergone an astounding transformation from Gothic to Renaissance to its current Baroque appearance. The palace is renowned for its lavish 18th-century apartments, which give a sense of the wealth of the Habsburgs. Apart from an outstanding collection of buildings, Innsbruck also boasts some of the finest views in Europe: across the swift-flowing River Inn to the tall, pastel-hued houses on the opposite bank, and the death-defying Bergisel ski jump, all encircled by the magnificent Alps. Continue to Trento, Italy for dinner and overnight

Pray before the statue that symbolizes the place of the First Apparition. A steep path leads to the top of the mountain, along which bronze reliefs were placed representing the joyful and the sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary. We also visit and pray at “Blue Cross”, a place of healings and graces at the foot of Apparition Hill. Dinner and overnight.

It has been nicknamed “Pearl of the Adriatic” and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. We see Onofrio’s Fountain, the Franciscan Monastery, the City Bell Tower, the Church of St Blaise, the city’s patron saint. Continue across the main square, where you will visit Dubrovnik’s baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, built in the 18th century after an earthquake destroyed the original one. Mass. Return to Medjugorje for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 Jun 13 After breakfast and mass we climb on the top of “Krizevac” which means “Mount of the Cross.” It is the highest mountain in the area. In 1933, the parish of St. James erected a large concrete cross to commemorate the 1900th Anniversary of Jesus’passion and death on the cross. During construction of the 16 ton cross, the parishioners carried up all of the materials, cement, sand, water, tools, etc., in memory of Christ’s way of the cross. The cross was completed on March 15, 1934. A relic of the True Cross of Jesus was received from Rome from Pope Pius XI and built into this cross. Dinner and overnight.

The Community is a Christian association, founded by the Italian nun, Sister Elvira Petrozzi in 1983 to welcome in desperate young people, who are suffering from the strains of life, and may have turned to drug addiction, alcohol or substance abuse. In the Community they are able to rebuild their lives. Dinner and overnight in Medjugorje.

The Temple of Jupiter was built around the third century and is dedicated to the highest Roman god, the god of the sky, and the god of thunder. The Diocletian’s Palace had two purposes; half was used for the Diocletian’s personal use, and the other half was used as a military garrison. Lastly, you will visit the Cathedral of St. Dominus that is encircled by twenty-four columns.
